What you can learn. What you can do.
01
Choose the right comparison
A business is a useful comparison when it competes for a similar customer, service or market. You can start with competitors you know. Available AI answers may also reveal other businesses being named when yours is not. Check their identity and website before adding them; appearing in a response is evidence to investigate, not proof they are the best model for your business.
02
Use the evidence Geophii actually has
Compare businesses named in the audit answers and review the websites quoted as sources. Where a supported backlink lookup exists, inspect the sources linking to the competitor but not to your site. Saved rank checks may also show other websites appearing for a tracked term. These views answer specific questions; they are not a complete account of a competitor’s traffic, revenue or strategy.
03
Turn a difference into your own useful work
Look for a genuine gap in the information or experience you provide. A competitor may explain a service more clearly, appear in a relevant directory or offer a useful resource. Decide which lesson fits your customers and business facts. Create your own accurate material and agree any outreach or implementation scope before spending. Copying a page does not reproduce the business behind it.
From understanding to action.
01
Set the comparison
Choose the service, customer and market. Name the businesses you know or review suggestions grounded in audit evidence.
02
Confirm the websites
Make sure the tracked competitor is the correct business. Keep client websites and competitor websites in their separate roles.
03
Inspect a specific gap
Use answer mentions, quoted sources, available backlink comparisons or saved ranking results. Note the date and limits of each dataset.
04
Choose your response
Improve a relevant page, investigate a source or research a distinct customer question. Give the action a purpose beyond matching the competitor.
A few things you might ask.
Does this estimate every competitor’s traffic?
Competitor research covers tracked competitors and saved findings. Check the selected research scope for the data included; private analytics and sales are not available.
Can Phii suggest competitors?
It can use available audit answers and source evidence to suggest businesses to consider. Confirm the suggestions before adding them to your tracked list.
Can I compare backlinks?
For supported tracked competitors and available lookups, the tool can show linking sources they have that your website does not. Review the source itself before treating it as an opportunity.
Should I do everything a competitor does?
No. Their offer, audience, resources and constraints may differ. Use the comparison to sharpen your own decision, then choose the work that fits your business.
